The Lavac operates on a completely different principle. The toilet is sealed when closed, the pump, basically a Whale/ Henderson bilge pump, pumps the waste out creating a partial vacuum in the toilet which draws the flushing water in via a vented loop. If you can fit a Lavac (read the details on the website ). You will not regret doing so. It must be installed correctly though.
