Descaling Volvo 2002 Rawwater Cooled

Hi Folk,

I have purchased some Rydelyme Marine to clear the cooling waterways .The recommended method is to circulate through the engine and I was pondering whether its possible to set up a 12 v pump rig to do this . I am concerned that water could somehow find its way back into the cylinders through the exhaust elbow/valves. Circulating with the engine running would be problematic as we are on a swing mooring and collecting fluid from the exhaust outlet to recirculate will be difficult.

hi Rob, i am at same stage and looking at doing same thing, so interested in any reply's, my question to add is do you back flush it and were to hook your hoses.
