Descaling inboard engine with RYDLYME

Has anyone devised a way of re-circulating RYDLYME through an inboard engine to de-scale it, and succeeded?!
Experience, please, not ideas: I've a few of my own!

use a pistol drill pump or if you have mains power available an old cetral heating pump, with that you could leave run for as long as you like,personally I connect the in and out to a bucket adding water until it just returns then add the flushing agent circ,for a few minutes stop engine give about 10 minutes start for a couple minutes and stop. That way you do not overheat the mixture,also I pour some water down the exhaust, seem to work for me.

Thanks for the inputs, fellas.
I've just had an e-mail from Dave at RYDLYME advising that it can be used at 25% concentration instead of the recommended 50%, providing twice the volume in circulation for the same cost.
Needs twice the time of course, but for some of us time is cheap!
I'm thinking of a way to include my 2hp outboard in the system and, in effect, BOGOF!

[/ QUOTE ] Don't forget that a given volume of concentrate will only dissolve a certain amount of scale. So a 25% solution will only be half as effective as the same volume of 50%. From the technical data on the website I gave the link to:

"RYDLYME has the ability to dissolve approximately two pounds (1 Kilo) of calcium carbonate scale per
U.S. gallon while at 70°F / 21°C, and in concentrated form. If the RYDLYME is diluted, it will still dissolve two pounds per gallon, but will require additional circulating time."

Warming things up will speed up the process considerably but it won't increase the quantity of scale that can be removed.
