For the last 20 years or so a group of us have gone camping over the August Bank Holiday weekend. It started with 3 couples and a cheap Tesco tent, now its 5 extended families, Motorhomes, folding campers, Ribs, Sibs, Kayaks etc etc.

We have been to most places on the water, but I fancy trying Derwentwater this year, I have the campsite sorted but I'm really struggling to find the boating regulations for this lake.

There used to be a publications on boating for all the lakes from lakedistrict.gov and I remember seeing one for Derwentwater, but now information for Derwentwater seems to have disappeared.

The conspiracy theorist in me feels the hand of the LDSPB, get rid of information about poweredboat use on the lake.......gets rid of power boats on the lake.

Has anyone got a link to the current bylaws for Derwentwater ? The only one I can find on line appears to be just the 1st page.

Cheers, at least that leaflet mentions powered boats, not worried about the speed limit, will probably only take a couple of low powered tenders.

And this is the mobo forum, if in doubt, stick a big engine on it :)
