I remember when I was berthed on the Thames that Vikings were often refered to as the 'Skodas of the Waterways'.
Now Skodas have improved it probably does not apply.

as a newbie, swmbo + i met a bloke who explained his hatred of "stinkboats" bit swmbo had nevr heard the term and asumed he meant "stickboats" so they got along famously, for a while anyway...
