Has anyone had experience of changing a Raymarine depth transducer on a Beneteau 331 ? Can it be done with out taking the boat out of the water ?
Thanks for any help.

You need to lift the boat, the transducer goes from the outside in, then a big "nut" holds it in place.

Ermm,
all the benes i have seen have them fitted as i describe, they include the 331 which i chartred in greece, another 361 i chartered in greece, the 351 i owned, the 381 i now own, the 31.7 that a friend of mine had, the 36cc that a friend of mine had. The poster asked about a bene, from the above i think it is reasonable to assume that his is the same?

I changed the depth on my benny this winter, only can be done out of water and you will have to saw off the outer section as the sikaflex it's glued in with is impossible to shift. You will find nut is glued down as well.

Set aside a day and be prepared to do lot of swearing. I fitted one from Tacktik that has a removable sensor part like the paddle wheel.
