Hi Guys

I want to fit a simple, inexpensive depth finder on the boat. I have an old Nasa Stingray but want to replace it with something smaller. Any recommendations
Thanks

Fitted a new Nasa Target 2 with little problems.(£80)
After talking to all the experts simple found a good spot in the bilges which would let the sounder look down and scrapped off the bilge paint and sanded it,tested with 'Blue tack' and then glued it down with silicone.
After initial silicone had set built the side up a bit around the sender to give extra support to sender.
Works well and you can see it in all weather!

The alternative is a cheap fish finder. This would not only show depth but also the history so you can see the sea bed getting shallower etc. Similar price and would be my choice. Mounting is simple you make sure you choose one with a through hull and glue it in with silcone (despite what the manufacturers instructions say)
