Delta sports boat

At the weekend I was reminissing with my brother about different boats we have fancied over the years. One of these was called a Delta! I think they were about twenty something feet and mostly brightly coloured, they had a small cabin Again I think that they were built in the mid to late seventies, can anyone remember these boats and also have you seen any for sale recently, I may just buy one

There was a Delta ski boat in late 1970s, with Ford V6 (complete with car clutch and no gearbox), GRP, lots of tumblehome. But I dont remeber a Delta with a cabin.....

You may be thinking of the Sonny Levi designed Delta 25? Like this one?

Yes I looked at a Delta 25 at Medway Bridge. Lovely looking boat. The sort of boat that looks like its going fast while its standing still.
This one had a prob with the engine so was going cheap, tho not cheap enough.

Its a shame that Byron no longer posts here as he's very knowledgable with regards to older boats.
If you do a search you should find the post that I started. Byron gave a brief history of the make etc.

Thanks for the help you have taken me back to my youth, yes it is the Sonny Levi design, never seen a white one though. Shame about price maybe will have to rethink cannot afford this and my other boat also my girlfriend already thinks I am a collector of boats
