I have just purchased a DQR25 and have started stripping out the aft cabin because water was leaking in. I can nor find any obvious place of ingress but the internal timber inway of the longitudinal is wasted/rotendue to water laying inbetween the longl. and the seat bulkhead, my question is due I need to replace the hull timbers (double diagonal) or could I clean up the area, treat the wood and then apply to layers of 6mm marine ply bedded on a grp mat? I am also open to other suggestions.
