Dell Quay Dory layup?

Hi all, I'm new here!:)

I am a grp moulder, and I've been lent a set of mould tools for a 15 foot dell quay/ fletcher style dory so I've decided to make one for myself.

It'll be used mainly on the Norfolk broads at first, but eventually I'll put a bigger engine on it and take it offshore.

I realise these boats are normally foam-filled for buoyancy / stiffness but I don't want foam in it so I'm wondering if anyone can advise on layup?

Currently I have this:

2 x gel coats

1 x 300 csm

1 x 300 csm / 1 x 800 gm2 tri-axial cloth / 1 x 300 csm

1 x 300 csm / 1 x 800 gm2 tri-axial cloth / 1 x 300 csm

1 x 450 csm / 1 x 800 gm2 tri-axial / 1 x 450 csm through keel/centreline.

The laminate I'd say is around 7mm on the topsides, roughly double this on the overlaps which are staggered.

Does this sound enough, or does anyone know the layup schedule used by fletcher?

Any help appreciated

Paul
