Delivery - Solent to East Coast

We are probably going to have to have our new (to us) 35 foot boat delivered from The Solent to the River Orwell once the purchase is complete in a few weeks. We would love to bring her up ourselves, but work commitments piling up make that look unlikely.

Can anyone recommend a yacht delivery company, for this relatively short trip, based on recent personal experience? I have picked up from previous posts here that Halcyon Yachts seems to be well recommended and have just asked them for a quote, but would like others to compare them with.

Any suggestions appreciated

www.jfyachts.com did a cracking job for me back in January ... 32 footer from Ipswich to Port Solent in the foulest weather ... £600 was the price for the job - (I gave Jethro & his crew a lift up there but that was after he'd quoted) ... I thought the price reasonable and the service was second to none ... would recommend him to anyone ... he has all the qualifications. Tell him I recommended him!

we get PYD into foxs & they are very good, even clean the boat as well

I just had halcyon deliver our boat from Plymouth to shotley.

Very well handled. Boat arrived on schedule and ready to sail.


Good outfit, would recommend!

I think that's the same Jethro I crewed on a delivery for just over two years ago. I can completely endorse his skippering skills, on a longish trip from Falmouth to Lagos.
