Dehumidifier not dehumidifying

I have a Xpelair compressor driven dehumidifier. Plugged it the other week and whilst it seems to run OK, it's not pulling any moisture out of the air.

The fan is running OK and the compressor is getting warm and seems to be gently cycling. I've taken the control panel off to look at the circuit board and nothing has obviously fried itself or burnt out. Ran an infrared thermometer over the board and no individual component getting obviously hot either.

I'm confused as everything *looks* normal, but it's not dehumidifying. Any suggestions?

The ambient temperature may be too low.

The refrigeration circuit may have lost it‘s gas.

Does it have a lint filter that needs cleaning and is stopping air-flow? Our current dehumidi has one that isn't obvious.

Ambient air might be dryer than the set point on the dehumidifier?

The ambient temperature may be too low.

Quite likely for a compressor dehumidifier this time of year.

Put it on a timer so it comes on between 11am and 4pm - the warmest time of day - and see if it has any success after a week.
