Article on IWA website

IWA plans to respond to the consultation promptly to remind Government of IWA’s past and on-going support to transfer navigation management of the EA’s current responsibilities to Canal & River Trust, and recommends that waterway users and other waterways organisations should do likewise, as the alternative future under continued EA management seems likely to be one of dwindling resources under continued budget cuts from an organisation more focussed on environmental concerns than recreational users, however committed EA’s present staff are to provide good service.

No doubt what the IWA would like to happen re Thames navigation management then.

They're all a shower of see you next tuesdays; have a read of this. I wouldn't trust any of them with anything more dangerous than an eraser.

Well there is a lot more to that website than what meets the eye I suspect! 2 competing schemes - one wins and one looses out. Hardly surprising the team behind the loosing application is upset!

Anyway once C&RT take over there will probably be less money and less customer service so best enjoy it whilst you can!!

I accept that the North Mill owners have a vested interest, but the fact a judge has decided that there is a case to answer and has allowed the owners to proceed to a judical review suggests that either they have awesome lawyers, or more plausibly they have a reasonable case.
