YM sponsors the "Family Tropy" in the Round the Island Race. Does anybody know the definition of "family" in this context. I am proposing to enter my boat crewed by three of my nephews (two of whom are brothers) and one of their sons!
Does this qualify?

Thanks,

Ed

I don't know, but try ringing Sue in the ISC office at Cowes. If you cannot get any sense email me and I will nip in and find out for you as it is 2 minutes from my front door and I am an ISC member.

Re: Definition of \"Family\"

I seem to remember, at least four members of immediate family.

Re: Definition of \"Family\"

I just rang the Island so everyone will know. The qualification is at least four members of the immediate family and this includes uncles, aunts, newphews and nieces, brothers-in-law etc. I guess your brother-in-law's brother might be stretching it a bit.
Seems like you and three nephews qualify, without worryng about whether or not your great nephew counts, although I would think he could also be included.
