Went to buy some parts for a Raritan PH II loo the other day , firstly at a chandlery in Cardiff then Milford haven, no luck.

on line in the UK 104 for one

on line america from defender as above 113 for two inc del and all taxes.

Most importantly , good customer service, as google put the wrong date in my card details, which took some to sort out.

No connection other than as a happy customer.

David, good to hear and thanks for the tip. I’m still recovering from paying for two service kits for Raritan heads, mentally scarred!

I cultivated a fellow Island Packet owner who sent loads of stuff in two parcels, one for me and one for another Raritan user, for a fraction of the Leesan cost.

£104.00 for a service kit really is taking the piss - see what I did there....................................

Good Choice . The Headmistress often speaks well of them.

How did the postage and import taxes work out ? I’m a bit wary of buying US sourced kit.

I am also restoring a set of Raritan Engineering heads here in the UK. In addition to Defender who are great, Amazon USA offers a very smooth and easy way to obtain many of their parts. This latter route was suggested to me by the Raritan tech support in New Jersey.

Thanks for the information.

welcome to the forum too.

If anyone wants to follow on from this great tip and put together a joint order I would be keen to collaborate on parts. PHII service parts in particular.

If you’re in correspondence with a supplier I’d welcome a price on part no 01699, see below, where you’ll notice I paid an eye watering £86 + VAT (x2) for a few washers and some rubber seals. I wouldn’t mind another kit for spares if they’re a reasonable price.

A PHII service kit delivered direct from Amazon USA came at a very reasonable cost. Delivery to the UK was a sensible price too. If you create an Amazon USA account then you will see prices on products available for delivery to the UK. Buying such products will be at a net cost quoted on the site as Amazon will be seen as the importer and have already calculated VAT. This is an issue if you wish to claim back VAT in the UK, but otherwise this route has worked exceptionally smoothly for many items.
