Got to take the shaft out of my Nimbus 2600, it's got a deep sea seal (make not known), never taken a shaft out before with these type of seals, I've always had the good old fashioned stuffing boxes.

What do I need to do with the seal to pull the shaft out, and obviously what do I do to put back together again????

All this hassle just for a stubborn cutlass bearing.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Just undo the hose clips on the seal that is clipped to the shaft(nearest the engine) - you'll probably have to rotate/move by hand as it will probably be "stuck" to the shaft - then pull out the shaft, and push the seal towards the shaft where it will drop off. When replacing, make sure the seal is compressed against the shaft tube bit, look on Deep Sea Seal website for the exact compression required.
