Deep sea night time attire

Having just completed a long North sea passage Sweden-Troon with 3 crew. On a watch change over one crew member was seen emerging from his cabin wearing silk pyjama's and clutching a hot water bottle....I wonder what is your prefered option for off watch wear in the bunk???

The same clothes off watch and asleep as when on watch, of course. Why change clothes when there's no need? Clothes don't need changing until the second week at the earliest, do they?

i warn the crew that if there's a panic i may not have time to dress. to date it has ensured that i am always called in good time to deal with developing problems.

Some thermals or "Wooly Bear" ( looks like a sleep suit and worn under dry suit.)
The water bottle is not daft. One of my regular crew snores. The water bottle helps me go to sleep before the snoring begins.

If you have any wet clothes then sleep in them. It's the best, possibly the only, way of getting them dry again.
