Deep cycle batteries

Trojan include the discharge/cycle life for T105 batts, but not for many of their others, particularly the 12v ones.

BTW there are two types of T105, one type has 1/3 more cycle life and is heavier=taller + more lead.

There are other Trojans apart from the T105s, including more conventionally shaped 12 volt batteries. Google and compare the results with the dimensions of the space you have available
Thanks, I did have a look at the Trojan site but all the 12v batteries in the sort of size (physical) suitable for replacing my leisure batteries said they were of the cold cranking type so I assumed that meant they would not be suitable for deep discharge.

Since these batteries are designed for golf carts would using them on a boat represent "misuse" and therefore effect the warranty?

ITYWF the T105 is a standard fit for industrial floor cleaning machines. There are a number of producers for US domestic market but Trojan seem to have spread wider.
Golf carts came later.

I am looking at batteries described as deep cycle although a CCA rating is quoted for them. Not the capacity of the T 105s though

Just found Trojan J150+. Unlike dome of the other 12v Trojans they have a decent discharge cycle life. 700 cycles after discharging by 80% is good.
Price is good in the US, just need prices nearer me.

"The J150+ batteries will provide about 1200 cycles at 50% depth of discharge, 3000 cycles at 20% DOD and 700 cycles at 80% DOD. These are values we see in our lab testing which is constant temperature with ideal recharge and maintenance. Actual cycles in the field will likely be less.

Have a good day.

Suspect that the J150+ might have another number in the UK as when you google them nearly all the results are from Russian sites.

Thanks for that, looks like a contender for liveaboard. I need some new ones. And hydrolink fitted, it says.
