Moodysabres thread about the open 60s is possibly relevant here. It must be something of a shock coming from the 72' bullet proof steel Challenge yachts to a carbon flyer. No reflection on the fabulous Dee, just the 60s are the full racing deal and as such, embody that old compromise between strength and speed.

Poor Dee. I certainly wouldn't swap places with her ( going out there solo I mean), but glad she's safe. I can only try and imagine what she must have felt, but unless it's happened to you then it's very difficult to contemplate. Brave woman. Takes real guts to think logically in a situation like that when you're on your own. A radio is only good for one thing, and it can't help you de-tangle rigging...
