I'd delete that post and start again. Spelling and grammar mean a great deal to potential employers, so you have to to show you are capable of the basics. First impressions count. Don't expect people to contact you. Putting an email address there, and expecting people to contact you is pushing things. Sell youself.

I'm not sure how to take that post? Especially with the signature you have! Then theres the "sell yourself" bit! Are you saying that being a Rent Boy or Prostitute helps?????? /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I can see what Brendan means. No apostrophe between "im", lower case "i", etc. It does make an impression on first reading.

Then again, where is he - no personal information?? He is using a yahoo.com address, where I have a yahoo.co.uk address living in the UK.

No, Brendan is right - first impressions count.

Re:Dont pull your punches do you?

Very straight to the point there . I must admit if I wanted someone to employ me I would try to create a better impression and give a bit more information .

Really? Did you bother to read his other post first? I did, so thought that pointing out he could act a little more professionally might gain a slightly more receptive audience. I suspect you are probably quite short and have a Napeoleon complex, as you are both aggressive and based in France

His other post is here by the way, just in case you didn't read it

No doubt sonofasailor spends time texting and it has an effect on one's English - in fact it is almost 'de rigeur' to use non-standard English and anyway the standard of spelling on the forums leaves much to be desired - so what!

Excellent reply;
unfortunately completely erroneous.
I am neither short nor French, I just feel that we could do better.
People who text a lot use all the idioms of our would-be deck hand.

I would learn to spell yourself before casting the first stone.
