wel,l i have been corrected. i didnt realize this was such a professional site. i thaught it was more of a chat room where i could place a small ad. if you want ill send you my resume and i promise you wont find any bad grammer there. i didnt realize i was being graded by commas and puncuation. im a good sailor not a good writer. but i do agree i should have put in more info. i just thaught if you want more info youll ask. i didnt want to waste anybodys time with a long paragraph. but here it goes.
i am 25 living in orlando, fl. i got my general AA degree about 3 years ago. while triing to figure out what i want to do with my life (besides live on a boat and travel the world) i did a lot of traveling. my father has a boat in San Carlos Mexico, so i spent some time there. i also joined the local red cross sailing club here in orlando. i also got to take the trip of a lifetime and did a transatlantic sail from the Canary Islands to Barbados on a 120 foot sailing yacht called the Seacloud. it was once owned by E.F. Hutton and Marjorie Post. so to say the least my sea legs are worthy. im just looking for an opportunity to meet new pleople, learn many new things, and see the world. i will not delete my first ad but add this to it. i am still reachable at royachilles@yaoo.com i hope to here from you with any questions and a more personal communication.

I have a terrible feeling that this is, indeed, a case of split web personality...

But, on the assumption that you're 'for real', and not somebody's idea of a wind-up, may I extend the transatlantic hand of friendship and offer a few words of advice?

First, we English (or British, if you want to include our Scottish, Irish, and Welsh neighbours, bearing in mind their insistence upon their own independence whilst seldom acknowledging that we might close our own borders one day and keep them out) tend to be a little 'old-fashioned'. Boating is a great leveller, but there will still be many here who think that writing 'I'm' as 'im' is a sign of a lack of intellectual rigour, and will judge accordingly. It may be best, in this case, to cut your suit to match your cloth, and post in more classical English...

Second, whilst I like a laugh as much as the next man, I wouldn't want to shift a boat from one berth to the next in a marina, let alone undertake a passage, with someone with your sense of humour. Your jokes are old, tasteless, and about as funny as syphilis.

I meant what I said - I am happy to extend an offer of friendship, to help with some parochial tips, and to be respectful, but the jokes were terrible, and I would say so to our correspondent's face if the opportunity arose.

The more I think about it, the more I conclude the whole thing is a wind-up.

not all of us get a chance to sit down and carefully spellcheck our posts, more we reply offering valued (I hope) assistance and comments to peoples queries and remarks.

I would rather read one of Duke's jokes then another of your poison letters.

Also bear in mind that "Keeping them (us) out" would mean that you would have to do the crappy underpaid work that you dont want to do!
