I need to renew large areas of caulking on my teak deck. Any advice would be appreciated. Some will pull out easily, but mostly it is still pretty well attached and it is a very laborious business with a chisel. Would a Fein be good- if anyone has used one for this and found it good, it might be worth investing in one.

Fein multimaster is THE tool for this job, get the correct sized blade for the gap, just a wee bit smaller in fact.

There was a tip in PBO which showed a special tool the guy made.

I have also used a router with a guide fitted the width of the deck caulking nounted the width if the plank from the cutter.

If you use any power tool be very careful as it is very easy to drift off into the planking

This site has a lot of useful info on recaulking teak decks, he also recommends the Fein multimaster as mentioned above and it gives a bit of detail as to why it is such a good tool.
Not tried it myself, just use a file with the handle end bent over and cut to a sharp edge, but I will have to do the whole deck sooner or later and i reckon I will get one myself if can find a source.
