Deck Cauking

My son has just bought a Bates Starcraft 40 footer
It needs quite a bit of work one of his first major jobs is to have the decks re caulker
It will be a complete rake out and re caulk

The boat is on the Hamble any suggestion for a contact person or yard to undertake the whole job work be appreciated
Any one have a ball park figure for what thus would cist

Depends how much rot they find. Are they teak over plywood? If so expect heaps of trouble!

No they traditional with no sub deck

Thats better but if its been leaking for a long time you may well find trouble in deck structure, beams etc. Best have a good poke round first!

The boat has been sheeted most of the time for the last few years
The deck beams all seem to be sound
I started my boating life with wooden boats 50 years ago so I am aware of some of the problems
I just need to find a competent yard or shipwright to undertake the job
