Deck Care

I suppose the wood is untreated? If so Oxalic Acid 25grms to half a litre of water cleans it up a treat. Oxalic Acid is the active ingredient in most commercial boat teak cleaners but can be purchased from a chemist. If the wood is treated, you need to identify with what; if varnish and the surface is unbroken, rub down and recoat; if oiled eg if it's teak, then more teak oil is the answer. Can you be more specific in what you've got?

Tillergirl,

The boat is a brand new Sealine F33, and I want to keep her in good condition, so decks would have been treated, and wood i would presume is standard deck material, other than that i would be quessing....
