Decent looking liferaft case?

I'm going to buy a liferaft from my Dad who owns a 1954 Gauntlet class Sloop, he thinks on deck in a hard case is going to be the best/safest option. I've done a fair bit of research and I'm going to get a SOLAS approved lesuire raft -having looked the 'lesuire' rated rafts should be more than enough for the type of sailing coastal sailing he does.

What I was wondering about is how the box looks on the deck? We need something that is going to be sympathtic to the lines on a classic wooden yacht?

Has anyone seen any decent looking liferaft cases, hard shells around? or options to hide or disguse it?

A liferaft FOR your dad...? Some people have canvas covers made to protect the liferaft a bit more from the weather and perhaps look a bit less plastic.

I've seen a few that have carefully covered their canisters in sticky back plastic a in a blue peter stylee!

they actually looked quite good

I'd agree with the canvas cover idea, perhaps with light battens sewn into the corners to hold it a bit squarer rather than the curvy shape of most liferaft cannisters.
