See, you're being smug about being able to sail in December cos you're in Dubai, but here in the southern UK I was sailing last weekend and could be out today as well if I didn't have stuff to do.

Out sailing on the Solent today. A good breeze, brilliant sunshine and hardly another boat to be seen - fabulous. Bit cold though!!

I was out in Chichester this weekend and it was perfect sailing conditions but like you say cold as heck. We also stayed on the boat Saturday night but I'll admit the heater was going all night.

Yes but in theUK It's far too hot to go sailing here in August

Thanks for that - when I saw your post it prompted me to go down the yard and do some boat jobs, despite it being 0 deg on board. Ticked another two jobs off the list and had a brew with a chap renovating a 1960's Chis Craft to spectacular condition.
Thanks for motivating me to spend 3 hours on my boat
