GPS packed in, checked connections and all is well power but showing 'no fix' on seatalk 1, dont know if the internal battery is dead after 6 1/2 years? Anyone had similar probs with this 120 or have experienced the no fix issues
Looks inceasingly like a replacement job unless anyone knows differently? and if so the 130 plus appears to be the current version and comes with conversion adapter for seatalk 1 any one got one. ?

There are not many 120's left still working.
Raymarine gps units, are Unfortunatly not well made and do not have a good track record. A Garmin GP-32 is a good replacment. You get a screen, a stand alone gps if the plotter fails, and a low power anchor alarm.
There are other gps units that are cheaper again.
All of these output NMEA 0183 that can easily be connected to most, but not all Raymarine plotters.
It is worth tring to replace the battery in the 120, but , unlike other gps units this does not seem to fix them, so I would only use it as a spare if you can get it working again.
