Has anybody tried the sailing waterproof clothing sold by the "Decathalon" chain of sports goods shops? I came across them this week and some of the gear looks very good value indeed, basic waterproof jackets for £20 and breathables for about £50. They have a sale on at present and I have bought my 6 year old daughters two very nice looking sailing jackets for £5.99 each and my wife and son two very sound Aigle jackets for £45 each.

I know that they are a French company and much of their range is "French", albeit manufactured in China the same as everybody else's. They don't seem to stock the usual manufacturers, focus is on own brand but it looks fine, has anybody tried it in anger?

One of my crew is almost a walking Man at Decathlon advert. He seems very pleased with the kit although he reckons the sizing is not particularly generous.

I've bought wet suits and quite a bit of outdoor gear from our local branch and been pleased.
