Stopped for an excellent lunch at the Norton Dog and to our surprise were offered Deben mussels.

Had dinner at the excellent Riverside in Woodbridge and there they were again!

Looks like someone has discovered the bed in the New Cut opposite Waldringfield!

Shucks!

On the topic of shellfish, is it still possible to buy Ostrea Edulis from the chap who has the layings in Kirby Creek?

I object to being sold a rock oyster fobbed off as a native in the Company Shed at West Mersea!

No Its the ruination of The Rocks Reach,by a local who alleges to harvest them

1 small boat with 2 or 3 crew in and needing 4 vans to deliver the catch. The Deben is certainly a productive river

You must be dim. I was not defending the catch. It is widely discussed that more produce comes in by road than off boat. My point was that everyone refers to J Simper in code rather than mentioning his name when discussing the mess at the Rocks.
