Hi All,

Have a strange rumble / dull nocking noise coming from around the P-bracket / prop area and need to take a look.

I'm now based at Tidemill on the Deben, but too tight to pay £200 for a quick lift to have a look. as I am new to this river, i'm looking for recommendations on drying posts or walls suitable to dry out for one tide in order to have a quick look.

The boat is a Westerly Seahawk 34.

Cheers

The wall at Wladringfield yard? I know they have a pleasure cruise boat, but may be worth an ask?
They were very helpful when I had my boat launched there.

There is a drying wall at Ramsholt, speak to the Harbourmaster, George on small boat called "Brio", arrives about 9am till 5pm ish, seems to be there every day, don't have a phone number, Ramsholt Arms might know.

You should be able to use the scrubbing posts at Waldringfield (assume you a fin keeler?), need to double check re length though - cost £5/tide & booking is behind the bar in the Maybush Inn - give them a call to check availability. Waldringfield Boatyard (where I'm based) may be possible but there is soft mud next to the wall & you may not get onto it at neaps - you could call Andrew Brown at the yard (01473) 736260 but the posts are a better bet. If you want to try Ramsholt as already suggested, George Collins' new number is (07930) 304061.
