Sad news Byron; I treasure the few times I spoke to John (& Margaret) especially his tales about his father & my grandfather after the First World War in Southall.

I can't help but wonder as to what will happen to his collection of Thames memorabilia. I hope he has willed them to a museum as there are some rare artifacts there, very rare indeed with at least one item being the only one left in existence.
