the sad demise of our Miss A Punt, C.D.Y.C.
Her end was not sudden. She had become trapped under the pontoon and
ripped her body apart and broke her back. We think it was a cry for
help that came too
late! Paul and I have genly winched her on to the hammerhead , where
she lies in a state waiting for the undertaking workboat to transport
her to the club house side for disposal, (burial or cremation?)No
flowers by request and donations in lieu to Reuben Howes Hon
Treasurer
C.D.Y.C. please make cheques out to "The New Baby Punt" fund.
This senior Punt has served the Club for over 25 years neglected and
uncomplaining.
Always ready to ferry members to their yachts she will be well
remembered for her faithful service and to one member in particular,
Hugh
Janson who
had cause to use her more than most, especially on a Tuesday of
practically
every week of the year, they had a special relationship!Just ask him
about her sculling block!
Farewell Miss A Punt.
I cannot type anymore, I`m filling up!
