I've taken a small chip out of the bow, a lump less than the size of a small fingernail. (berthing without engine - long story)

When the boat's out of the water I will probably get a yard to deal with it and match the Awlgrip paint etc.

BUT in the meantime, what's the best product to dab on the scar? Or shall I leave it?

Wear it with pride.
plastic padding n a dab of paint, until the pro job. i kept some of the original Awlgrip for such times

The hole can be repaired with any sort of resin you have on hand. Epoxy with filler would be my choice but polyester resin with filler or one of those body filler type pastes would be just as good. Filler can be talc powder or microballoons. You are fortunate in having painted the hull all you have to do is touch up the paint. good luck olewill
