Dead Navman 5600

Curlew was give a present of a Navman 5600, however due to the fit out taking longer that expected it sat in the workshop for three years. I put it on test today, it ran for five minutes then died, no life, has anyone got any suggestions, I suspect a dead internal battery , also has anyone got a suggestion of a suitable repairer.
