Hi, I am trying to locate a copy of this book, as apparently it has some info, on a yacht im currently restoring. Does anyone have a copy??

The yacht was designed by knud reimers and named cameleon.

Any info would be much appreciated !

Many thanks:)

Yes I have a copy:

This day and weekend convertible cruiser has a rubberised canvas cover on hoops, a boom tent and can sleep 4. Same LOA as a Dragon, but 3ft 6" longer on WL. Same WL as a Tumlare but more beam and freeboard, 3/4 ton more displacement and a transom stern. 15/16 rig is strange. A very svelte little yacht. The first batch of 2 dozen were ready for 1956. How they prospered thereafter is unknown.
LOA 29ft 1"
LWL 22ft 2"
Beam 6ft 8"
Draft 4ft 6"
Disp 5600lbs
Ballast 2900lbs
Sail Area 307 sq ft.

Thanks pete, is there any photographs in the book? its interesting that 2 dozen were built, ive done extensive searches online and never found anything like it, would be great to see another!

thanks rob

Is the "Dayton`s Guide" a rather utility type document which as I recall was A4 size and had a soft yellow cover which may even have been stapled on. The one I am refering to had a wealth of information and statistics on smallish sailing boats of the `40,`50 +`60s with line drawings of each. I seem to remember it was published in Herefordshire or Worcestershire but 12/15 years ago I failed to find the source. If it wasn`t Dayton`s can any one tell me what it was or better still where I can get a copy. Thanks. VITALBA.

I think that the flimsy covered yellow one was 'The Good Yacht Guide' they publish a series on Yachts - Up to 25ft, 25ft - 34' etc. and one on Motor Sailors, they are quite handy in that they give a short description with line drawing and dimensions, a rough guide to what it might cost and a list of reviews ie. PBO June 87. They are now Blue covered and can be bought (I'm pretty sure) through www.seachest.co.uk .

Dayton's published a few books 'Daytons Guide to Yachts 19xx/xx (can't remember dates) this was about 2.5 inches thick and was yachts in production, the Daton's Guide to Yachts of Yesteryear was about 1 inch thick and well produced. Both now long out of print.

Hope this helps.
