Well back from a week on the boat....

Decided to stay around Plymouth and Daysail instead of going anywere.....

Which meant a happier doggy... and saving all the mooring fees.....

Felt quite guilty about not getting away to someplace nice... but OTOH did lots of great sailing... including a great late afternoon/evening sail with the sun going down and a bottle of Orvieto Classico...

So, am I guilty of turning the boat into a holiday cottage... or was this a reasonable response to several dissapointing trips and the desire not to spend a couple of hundred squids on moorings???

You sailed, you had loads of enjoyment out of your boat (with the memories to go with it). What more could you ask? Don't be "bullied" into thinking you have to do something - you do what you feel like doing, so long it does no harm to others, the environment or property......

Day sailing and sleeping on the boat is the most restful way to go,no worries about dragging anchours sudden storms...harbour dues,as mentioned,But are you fullfilling your Christoper Columbus quota of discovering distant lands beyond the horizon?

Is photodog a danger to navigation
