Well,

After David has blasted us for being boring and given i have read some fantastic reports in the past of peoples trips, its about time i made a little contribution!!

This was a few weekends ago (weekend of 26th and 27th June) and we were out to celebrate the passing of another year for me!

The plan was simple, out to enjoy the weekend!!

We set off from Hamble after fueling the boat bound for Chichester. Collect some friends from Itchenor slip and head out.

Now i know there are many on here who have been all over the place but it was my first time into Chichester and i was taken by the beauty of the place, this was helped by unbroken sunshine. We will be back for sure!!

Headed out to Priory bay for a a but of Ringo fun and an impromptu photo shoot thanks to Richard who was prepared to sit on the ringo with the camera whilst we zoomed around him!!

Tried to embed these but my computer skills are lacking im afraid (as seen form the picture size)

Now i know we are all young at heart but Richard decided it was a good idea to Ringo back from Priory bay to Chichester. off we set at 16 kts with him in tow! fair play to him, he made it but i know he suffered the next morning!!!

now the excuse was, we needed to wait for the tide to get up to Chichester, the truth was we just wernt ready to go home yet!

as we left East Head we were treated to some hot air balloons lifting off. from a distance it looked like one of them had some problems and speaking to the HM later, it was pretty close to taking out some masts at East Head before they finally got it under control and up in the air for good!!

and of course, wouldnt be a story without the wake shot.

Fantastic weekend and if we are honest, it was the weekend we fell in love with the boat. we have had a few very minor issues with it since owning it (which were always expected) but when you get weekends like this it makes it all worth while!

Nice post, Howard. I take it the - shall we say - "exotic" troosers were put on after you all left the confines of Chichester Harbour? Not sure they would be allowed in an AONB. :D

Thank you.

Yup. Cougar R9.

One of Warsash's finest! seriously, i know i am bias but having been in a great number of ribs its well up there when considering how much we paid for it and what it offers.

we went up the Hamble River this weekend (not feeling that energetic) and anchored up river by Botley Mill. Sat at the table for a picnic and supped some pingo gringo in the sun.

not everyones cuppa tea but for is, its a great day boat!!

hoping to get some better pics and video soon as we have a new video / picture platform in the way of a friend with their searay 180.

I'm sure she is.
Never had the opportunity to try one, but I'd love a ride in some ocean swells... :)
Lovely helm arrangement too, with the possibility to have a throttleman and a driver.
I for one would be interested to hear more about her, if I may ask.
Engine, outdrive, prop, x-dim, tabs, wot speed... you know, the usual stuff! :D
