Day to buy a sailing boat!

If you ever actually do buy a boat, half the forum will collapse from shock, the other half won't believe you.

Go on... do it! it'll be funny (and it's the only remaining way you can really surprise us)

Wansey cleverly disguises how many boats he peruses.....and rejects....by starting a new thread for each one

Disguises? I thought it was how he exaggerates!

Oddly, when he describes boats he has had or sailed in the past, they often seem to have had major defects - but when he looks now, minor ones seem grounds for rejection.

Ithink you must have misunderstood my ramblings all the boats Ihave owned beingsecondhand except for the steel schooner, have had little problems .As this will be my last boat I guess I am picky add to that my wife’s observations its difficult to decide😏……hopefully we get it right this time, that’s if we actually get a boat.unfortunately as with most families there are really more pressing problems than buying a boat …

Wansey, me old mocker of time
Yesterday one of my oldest friends passed away in his sleep
He had stage4 cancer and never had a chance to collect his pension. From diagnosis to death in 3 months

What are you waiting for, really?

Yes…..I am aware of the time passing.Itwould be great to bea newby and be ignora t of what could be wrong with a forty year old boat. The boat I am going to see soon I think will be the last either I buy it and move on to worrying about is the deck spongy or not or how the hell doI clean out the fuel tank or give up and retire to weed control and dabbling in oil painting.

The ria de Vigo is full of sparkling blue water ruffled by a gentle force four, almost a clear blue sky .As the afternoon wears on the north easterly breeze will increase, but you can sail back just under the gen y😂
Lovely sailing grounds with so many nice places to visit. Good luck with your search.
