Did one last week at Plas Menai.I can honestly say that it was the best RYA course that I've been on to date.First night Port Dinorwic.Motor Sail to PY,anchored for second night.Motored to Holyhead surrounded by dolphins for about 45 mins,marina berth third night.F6 run/broad reach/close reach around the Island, and finally close beating up the straits from Puffin Island to Menai Bridge,lay alongside another vessel 2 nights.Final motor through the Swellies.
Good Crew,great sailing, and a fantastic Skipper 'Caroline'.
If you're thinking about doing one-go for it.

Anglesey is a great location for doing practical courses as it has such a variety of conditions - narrow straits, tricky pilotage, awkward tides and you can circumnavigate it in a couple of days. It has been said that 'if you can sail round Anglesey, you can sail round the world'
