Hi all

I'm taking a vacation soon in southern Languedoc and I'm spending a few days at Collioure.

I'm contemplating hiring a day boat for a trip round the bays and beaches and wonder if you could suggest a place where I could rent a day boat (say 20ft or so).

I've got my licence (RYA ICC) and thus don't need to stick to the small engine sizes.

Any thoughts / tips / recommendations?

I like the marina at Argeles. And considerably cheaper to berth our boat there than in Chi.

The girl in the office said there was a waiting list of approx 300 boats. A bit like it used to be here, if she is to be believed.

I did wonder! Although the marina appeared full when I last visited.

The marina at St. Cyp seemed vast by comparison.

Your asking price confirms that it is much better value down there!!

The drive down though, seems to get longer and more boring each time I do it.

Thanks all for the replies.

I also spotted that there is a guy who rents out of Collioure itself; he's got a Capelli 21 for rent on. I spotted it on a site called Click and Boat; which calls itself a peer-to-peer site. Link as follows: https://www.clickandboat.com/en/yacht-charter/france/collioure

So the question is, is rental on a "peer-to-peer" basis a dodgy one? Would it be appropriately insured etc?

Any thoughts on this?
