Anyone got any feedback about davits or cranes? I want to mount a 3.1m rib with a 10/15hp outboard onto the back of a Sealine so would appreciate any advice about good or bad setups. The transom already has fixed area's to mount them so that's not a problem but as there are plenty of makes/types available any help would be appreciated. If anyone knows of any used one's that might be helpful also.

Hi,

I’ve had Davits and Cranes on various Sealine’s - The Crane wins hands down!

Just simply press the button to raise the tender off the chocks, extend the crane until the tender is past the transom, and press the down button – Just as easy bringing the tender back on board.

I’ve also observed these cranes lifting Jetskis in and out of the water! So weight shouldn’t be a problem!

The crane was manufactured by Wittall UK – Built like a tank! No problems experienced - I believe you can get them with a remote control option!

Davits are a more cost effective solution, but can add to your LOA – Some marinas may charge for the extra length!

Hope this helps
