According to the news Dave has had the bright idea of not letting foreign spouses into the country unless they can speak english.

Perhaps Dan could apply the same rule to the forum and excommunicate those who haven't quite grasped the rudiments of the written language like spelling, punctuation, grammar and syntax?

Seriously... I'm with awol.
Come on guys. Knuckle down...
Your when you mean You're
There when you mean their
Their when you mean there
anti fowl when you mean anti foul
Break when you mean brake
Cutlass (bearing) when you mean Cutless bearing.
&c.

Calm down sunshine, the SNP is leaving us, and all their nice men in the south will be repatriated shortly, well, actually they will flock home for the cheaper retirement, better prescriptions, etc and cheaper uni education for their offspring!

Anyroad, be careful, young Jimi is spoiling to make his fortune before he returns, and reckons some racial equality tribunal could be a great idea!

I'd like to agree, but I'm sure "English" is spelt with a capital "E". /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If you are going to be a pedant than please do it properly.

"English" is not spelt with a capital "E", it starts with a capital "E".

Harumph, these youngsters..........

Bloody Hell!

That'll be Mark Blundell and the entire cast of EastEnders on the banana boat on the way out then.

Mind you...................

Even with a good understanding I am sure we all get it wrong occasionally, where is the spell check and grammar option button on this forum ? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Don't know how I've done it, but I have a spell cheque on my web browser - Safari, by Apple. OH, maybe it's because Bill Gates has nothing to do with it. If I type any think wrong it is underlined with a read dotted line. Write clicking my moose brings up a list of alternative wards.

As to a grandma chequer, in my view, they often fail to get things write.
