I was just fiddiling with my user options and noticed the Dateslip on/off switch, am I the first to realise that this "thing" can be turned off, if not how long as that switch been there?

oho. But I'm still not happy. I want the default to be off, and for it to be quite difficult to set it to on, inlcuding bollox case-sensitive passwords by email.

Thanks Moose, I did not know that it had now been made user selectable, as a feature that was requested at the time the dateslip went live, I never saw anybody saw it was now there.
