Dartmouth

We were thinking of sailing to Dartmouth tomorrow but the Regatta is on.
What do you think the chances are of getting a visitors mooring up river?

Looking out the window it is fairly full, where are you thinking of when you say "up river"?

Dittisham, past the Anchor stone on one of the moorings up there. We are 36 feet so can't use some of the smaller buoys.

We arrived on the friday last year from the solent and found no room at the inn. could not anchor cos the places where we had enough chain for were full. so we were naughty and picked up an admiralty buoy up outside the college. mooved very earlie in the morning so we did not get caught.

You could always anchor at the entrance to Bow Creek. Stoke Gabriel and Tuckenhay have some decent pubs/restaurants and are not far by dinghy. The latter was the first place in the UK to have gas street lighting - allegedly!!
