I may want to have a 9m sailing boat hoisted out for a week in the spring. Anyone know the cheapest option for a hoist and and in? Any cheaper deals nearby eg Brixham or wherever?

I might get away with 12 hours in the slings but if I do that I might as well dry out on the harbourmasters facilities which look very good. Thanks.

I’ve kept a boat in Dartmouth (which I love) for well over thirty years but can’t ever recall seeing ‘Dartmouth’ and ‘cheap’ in the same sentence!
Noss, Darthaven or Dolphin (Galmpton) will all probably offer a service- don’t think in spring time you will be left in the slings for anything other than overnight. Drying out on the rack in Dartmouth is very practical though- I’ve done it several times with a 14m boat. Last time water (and if I remember correctly power) was available.

Try Torbay Marine Lifting at Torquay . Can be quick lift and pressure wash or chock off ashore for a few days . Check out there website . Parking next to boat and coffee near by .

Try Creekside Boat Yard. They are about the cheapest I found. Crane weight limit about 6 tons I think. However for just a scrub I would use the drying grids. About £50 from memory and equipped with electricity and water.
