As a result of numerous requests, the Regatta this year is going to be from the Wednesday 29th to Saturday 1st September 2018, giving a full 4 days of racing, both inshore and a one days' longer event for the larger yachts.

A fun, but no less competitive event on the Sunday will take place.

It is hoped that the accommodation problems with the local, Saturday changeover dates will be avoided, for visitors.

Top class, well run racing, and a good, social family event.

NOR is out, see: http://www.dartmouthsailingweek.com

That's great news about the Gin! I love Dartmouth regatta as its the best regatta i've been too (and there are many international ones). Can I ask about the more weekend dates though? Working in the city full time, it's difficult to get so many days off for the event. I often ponder if it were to attract more people if it were Friday through til Bank Holiday Monday (inclusive)?

A nice comment from someone, new coming this year.

"Three times as many races, as Cowes, and half the price"

The word is spreading.

Bank holiday Monday is not after the w/e this year - that was the initial reason for changing the format. Torbay are running their "Week" the previous w/e Sat-Monday

Could be looking for a couple of crew for this year. If anyone's interested send me a PM.

Well that was a fun little week, even if less than 8 knots for most of the racing really didn't suit us...

At one point in the bay race we were completely stationary so the crew went for a swim.

Super quiet in the town compared to previous years, hope the air shows make a return in 2019!
