The information on the website is well out of date; can anybody confirm whether the Dartmouth Lower Ferry is operating again and, if not, when it is now scheduled to start?

Yes looks as though there is still a lot to do but the Chronicle reported 'The district council, which operates the ferry, has just announced the service will finally be back in action next Tuesday – almost eight weeks after the Easter deadline the town had originally been given.'
Will be great to have the service back again,

Well the ferries did start working again on Tuesday. I can see them now. Yesterday I could hear their powerful revving diesels too but today the wind is too strong.

I'm in danger of becoming bored for reasons that will become clear. We are anchored off Darthaven and - with 25 kts gusts and F5-7 forecast - we'd sooner be IN the marina. We tried to weigh anchor at slack water this morning but got too close to a neighbour who arrived after us. Try again tomorrow. If that fails I'll be forced to finish the re-wiring job. Meanwhile we can't move, its too windy to use the inflatable (it is upside down off our stern), the boat taxi costs £2 per person, and we really ought to stay on board in case of dragging. On the plus side, the sun has been out all day, my wife arrived (by car, she doesn't do seatime), and we sneaked into the Seahorse to try their £20 "locals" lunch menu. So today the plus side wins! Thread drift I know, and apologies for sharing. I feel better now. If you have been .... thanks for listening.

I know what you mean about rather being in the marina-BUT at least you are on the boat! Our boat IS in Darthaven but we are ashore as I recuperate from a hip op. Highly recommend Saveurs in Victoria Road for the most amazing pastries-not bad for breakfast either...
