I understand that Darglow made an adapter for a Maxprop that enables the anode to be centre bolted to prevent the usual problem of the three bolts around the circumference eroding the adode on the bolt holes - I cant see anything on their web site.

Does anyone know if they still make the adapter or if there are any other suppliers in the UK. I see there is a company making something similiar in the States.

It isn't an adaptor as such but an "adapted" anode. I bought one a couple of months ago. As Tranona says, give them a call. Very helpful in my experience.

Had a similar problem on my Brunton prop. Easily resolved by purchasing nylon bolts of the same thread and dimension. Anode now lasts all season instead of falling off as the anode around the stainless fastening bolts dissolved. Anode now lasts all season.
Tip: Many suppliers of nylon fastenings will send out 3-4 bolts as a free sample.

I called them and they supplied a plate that bolts to the prop, the anode then bolts on to the plate with an additional central bolt. This followed the first anode eroding around the mounting bolts and becoming loose, the last couple using the plate have remained firmly bolted (7months)

Our Featherstream has a similar anode, can just get 2 seasons out of it by antifouling around and down the bolt holes which stops it eroding in those areas. Plenty of contact along the rest of the base area so still doing its job.
