Dandy Hole

A friend of mine was recently woken at 2am by salmon fishermen in Dandy Hole on the River Lyhner, Plymouth and asked to move.

Can anyone throw any light on whether these salmon fishermen have the right to ask a boat to move at Dandy Hole?

I wouldn't have thought they can do that, unless there is an area marked on the chart to say no anchoring (oyster beds or cables etc).

You could check with the RYA

should have told them he was an undercover water baliff
and asked to see their licence. bet they would have bogged off in a hurry!!

Try asking QHM Plymouth. You might get some guidance as Dandy hole is within his area of responsibility. If you have a problem pm me and I can try to find out for you who has what rights.
