What was potentially a very good day yesterday was marred by the weather. The south westerly was blowing over 25knts, because of the wind the Red Arrow free fall display team had to cancel!! and the races were all shortened, However my admiration goes out to the Men and Women who went ahead in both the 150 and 225 hp class races, they are TOTAL Lunatics they carried on racing in some cases at over 70mph in what was not, very nice conditions at all ,the bay was very very lumpy but they all gave it some stick they could possibly have gone faster if only they could have stayed in the water!! some of them were at times at least 6 foot in the air!! and in all this only 1 minor accident where a navigator suffered brusing in a collision with another boat. All in all agood day would have been superb but for the weather. I look forward to next year when the event will return to Swansea if all goes to plan. Now all I need is to win the competition for a weekend training and racing a formula 4 flying machine!!!

Red Arrows free fall display team, eh? Is that some new act they've put together? Synchronised engine failure followed by formation bailing out?
